*Those Jacksons Sure Know How To Funk Psych Out

Jackson 5 - I Am Love: "Dancing Machine" Lp 1974
One of the better songs by the group, once you get past the first part of the track it just bursts into a funky psych soul rock extravaganza. Not to mention this sounds nothing like their other records, never the less a gem in hiding!!

*The Coconuts Don't Like Stoolies!

Kid Creole is one of the best bands to come out of the Post Punk Disco scene, they combine the tropicalis with the post punk disco grooves! They had the good fortune to have mainstream success with their 80s hit Endicott. I've been sold for the longest, if you don't know now you knows!!

*De La Tjader..

Cal Tjader was a musican that I found out about via my friend and fellow record junkie Dj Lupe Loop. What really got me to diggin' for Tjader's Lps even more was the fact that De La Soul sampled Cal's Mood For Milt(Cubano Chant) for their 12'' on Tommy Boy called Watch out back in 2001.
Anyways good stuff, keep doing your homework kids..
